This monthly book club sets out to answer the age old question: is the book better?

For March, we are taking on the erotic thriller with a feminist twist with Susanna Moore's In The Cut which was adapted by Jane Campion in 2003. In The Cut follows an English teacher at New York University who becomes entangled in a sexual relationship with a dirty, filthy detective investigating a series of gruesome murders in her neighborhood. The film was reviled upon its release but has since found a small following for its examination of heterosexual women’s desires and the dire consequences they can have. Join us for a steamy thriller this March.
