With the approaching death of his father, the village post officer, Oscar returns to Mexico for the first time and finds that he is now the only man among the handful of women who live in this small place that has never had a telephone or internet.
As he tries to return to the United States, he takes charge of the mail and learns the stories and desires of the inhabitants, among them a little boy who asks for his father's letters. Moved, Oscar writes him the longed-for letters and begins to bond with him and Martha, his mother. When he is finally able to leave, he no longer wants to do so and will have to decide between returning or staying and rebuilding his life.
Presented in Spanish with English subtitles.
