It’s not every year that a queer film turns 100… so SunGays is forgoing our usual silly gay films for something a bit more serious (but just as homo, don’t worry). Join us for Carl Theodor Dreyer’s Michael, a silent German film about a romance between a painter and his model.
The homosexual undertones upset viewers of the 1920s, which nearly guarantees that we’ll be delighted! We’ll ooh and aah at the German Expressionism, marvel at just how gay things were a century ago, and maybe cry a tiny bit about gay loneliness… together! Free tissues will be provided
