Summer has begun, and for Bryan, it only means one thing: working in the fields with the fighting bulls. Alongside his grandfather and uncles, Bryan must prove he has what it takes to become another cowboy in the family, all while trying to escape a return to school that seems inevitable.
This coming-of-age journey is at the heart of Temporada de Campo, the debut feature by Mexican director and producer Isabel Vaca. The film premiered at prestigious festivals like Visions du Réel and Hot Docs, earning accolades such as Best Documentary at the Miami Ibero-American Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Morelia International Film Festival. Isabel, who leads Caribou Visual Studio, is currently working on the documentaries Camino a Casa and Forensita, while her fiction shorts Spinning and LOVE were featured at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
