More on Body Language: What began as an exercise in dialogue-free voyeurism shifted into an exploration of community, infatuation, and unspoken bond. Body Language follows a young woman who becomes increasingly invested in the life of another after taking notice of her at the public pool. The more the woman learns about her subject, the more she can't help but dig deeper until she is faced with the decision to intervene in her life.

Pulling from classic Brian De Palma films such as Blow Out and Body Double, as well as other cinematic explorations of voyeurism like Michael Haneke's Cache, this local Austin short film features a boisterous score, exciting performances, and a bold cinematic style you will not forget.

More on Meat Machine: In the twisted heart of a small Texas town, the clock is ticking toward nuclear annihilation. The bomb’s about to drop, and it’s not just the end of the world—it’s the end of some seriously off-the-rails lives. Meet compulsive gambler Lee Harvey Oswald (no relation), whose betting habits are as disastrous as his luck. His platonic (but very horny) roommate, Natty the Nympho, is on a mission to turn every man in town into a walking boner. Then there’s Babycakes and Junior High, a pair of teenage sweethearts who seem to be locked in an endless cycle of awkward lust and unholy melodrama. And that’s just thestart—this place is full of equally unhinged weirdos, all racing toward the ultimate deadline.

Meanwhile, across the globe, the deranged and globally infamous mad scientist Dr. Calypso is sprinting against the clock to somehow savethese twisted souls from nuclear fallout, armed with nothing but his own psychotic genius and a bunch of questionable lab experiments.

In true DIY indie fashion, Meat Machine is a grotesque, colorful carnival of bizarre characters, offensive humor, and more over-the-top absurdity than you can handle. It’s a madcap mix of Troma-style gore, John Waters-esque camp, and a whole lot of unrestrained weirdness. Will the town survive the atomic blast? Will anyone even care? Tune in for a totally unhinged, nuclear-fueled joyride where the only thing more dangerous than the bomb is the madness unleashed in the final countdown.
